Going the extra mile- Why at Mishon Mackay we believe we go further for our customers

We understand the importance of trust when instructing an estate agent to sell you home. At Mishon Mackay it is our mission to ensure we achieve the best outcome for our customers and why our staff are willing to go that extra mile to ensure your move goes smoothly.

The team at Mishon Mackay went the extra mile to assist a buyer who found herself in a challenging situation when buying a new home.

Senior Sales Negotiator, Josh Pennycott, from Mishon Mackay’s Kemp Town branch, was helping his buyers move from their home in Northwest England to move back to Brighton, when Jennifer’s husband sadly passed away. Jennifer had studied in Brighton and the couple got married in the city 60 years previously so were moving back to be closer to family and friends.

Following this untimely death, and to make Jennifer’s move as seamless as possible, Sales Negotiator, Dee Karagöl, offered to help her get comfortable in her new home by assisting with the move and decorating the flat.

Dee gave up her weekend to help paint Jennifer’s flat, as well as taking the time to organise a removal company to ensure her valuable belongings, including a heavy piano, were moved to her new home safely and in the best possible care. Branch Manager, Felix Foreman, also supported Dee throughout the day.

Jennifer’s son, William, said: “Josh, Felix, and Dee were polite, humorous, and efficient. They gave honest opinions throughout the whole process. We were in a mini chain of four properties and Josh was the most active agent in the chain, pushing lawyers and vendors to keep the process moving.

“The chain fell apart when my father died. The team at Mishon Mackay were very sympathetic and supportive. They helped keep my parents’ offer alive and several months later my mother was able to move into a beautiful flat. Dee helped greatly in the last phase, especially making my mother feel at home in Brighton.”

Dee Karagöl, Sales Negotiator at Mishon Mackay, said: “I’d like to think if my own grandma were moving to another city, someone would help her out in a similar way. They’re such a lovely family; I would do it all over again! I hope Jennifer is enjoying her newly ‘Daffodil White’ painted flat”

Alex Mackay, Co-Founder and Owner at Mishon Mackay, said: “At Mishon Mackay we pride ourselves on excellent service and I am so proud of our team going above and beyond to provide such exceptional customer care to Jennifer at such a difficult time.”
