Rightmove names Rottingdean as a ‘hotspot’ for coast seeking homebuyers

Looking for a home near beautiful coastlines with fresh sea air? You don’t need to look far… Rottingdean has been named by Rightmove as one of the top 5 coastal hotspots for homebuyers in the UK…

On an island country full of stunning coastlines, it has to be something a little bit special to make the top 5 list in a recommendation for homebuyers searching for that perfect coastal home. Our local area of Rottingdean gives exactly that.

Making the list for Rightmove’s article titled “Five coastal hotspots for homebuyers” last month, our local branch was delighted to see Rottingdean getting the recognition it deserves, long considered a local gem by visitors and residents alike.

Beautiful Rottingdean remains a favourite for homebuyers both local and afar, as the picturesque, artsy village gives way to stunning expansive sea views and the glorious countryside of the South Downs. Once the home of Rudyard Kipling, blooming English gardens are par for the course, with an eclectic range of shops and boutiques lining the high street and quaint tea rooms and traditional pubs to fill your days with bustling village life.

Demand for Rottingdean and its surrounding area is certainly increasing, as city and urban dwellers re-evaluate their priorities after the never-ending year of lockdown. Perfectly situated, it lies a couple of miles to the east of central Brighton and can easily be accessed by bus, bike, car, or on foot along the undercliff walk.

London families and retirees often make their way down to Rottingdean for a quieter life, but with plenty of access to the hustle and bustle they’ve become acquainted with.

If you’re already a homeowner in this area, you’ve probably seen the demand for homes just like yours growing in recent years – our Rottingdean office has certainly sold many beautiful homes to delighted buyers and our database of prospective buyers looking for their dream home continues to grow.
